These terms apply when you (a shliach, or your organization) use the Van Praag AI Bookkeeping Agent ("the product"), offered by Van Praag AI Agency ("we," "us"), Vienna, Austria. By connecting your QuickBooks and/or Gmail account and using the product, you agree to these terms.
What this product is
The product is a self-serve bookkeeping assistant for Chabad shluchim: it reads your QuickBooks ledger and, if you connect it, your Gmail inbox for financial email, and generates bookkeeping alerts and (where you've enabled it) draft entries and other bookkeeping support. It is an early-stage product from a small agency — it is not a licensed accounting firm, not a substitute for a bookkeeper or accountant's professional judgment, and not tax or legal advice.
Your account and connections
- You must have the authority to connect the QuickBooks company and Gmail account you link — for example, as the shliach or an authorized representative of your organization.
- You're responsible for keeping your own QuickBooks and Google account credentials secure; we never see your passwords — connections happen through Intuit's and Google's own sign-in screens, never through a form on our site.
- You can disconnect QuickBooks or Gmail access at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how), and you can stop using the product at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the product for any organization or company you're not authorized to manage the bookkeeping of.
- Attempt to access another user's data, account, or connected QuickBooks/Gmail.
- Use the product to violate any law, or to submit false or fraudulent information to QuickBooks, tax authorities, or any other party.
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or overload the product's systems.
What the product does and doesn't do on its own
Alerts, categorization help, and threshold/settings changes run automatically. Where the product design calls for your approval before an action is taken — for example, before submitting an official or government form using your data — we will not take that action without your explicit approval. The product does not give tax advice; if something looks like a real tax question, it will tell you to ask your accountant instead of answering it.
You stay responsible for your own books and filings. This product is a tool to help you stay organized and catch problems early — it does not replace your own review of your finances, or your accountant's or bookkeeper's professional sign-off, especially for anything submitted to a tax authority or government body.
No warranty
This is an early-stage product, honestly described. We work carefully, but we make no promise that the product will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for every purpose. The product is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of the alerts, categorizations, or draft entries it produces. You're responsible for reviewing anything the product produces before relying on it for a real financial or legal decision.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Van Praag AI Agency is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product, including errors in bookkeeping data, missed alerts, or issues with third-party services (QuickBooks, Gmail, or any other connected platform) that are outside our control. Nothing here is meant to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Third-party services
The product connects to QuickBooks (operated by Intuit) and Gmail (operated by Google). Your use of those services remains subject to Intuit's and Google's own terms — we don't control their availability, features, or changes, and we're not responsible for outages or changes on their end.
Changes to the product or these terms
We may update the product or these terms as it develops — this is a new product and it will keep changing. We'll update the date above when we do, and for any change that meaningfully affects what you agreed to, we'll try to let connected users know directly.
Ending the relationship
You can stop using the product and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or end access for a user who violates the acceptable-use terms above, or if we discontinue the product — in the latter case we'll give reasonable notice where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
